Call of Duty WWII Officially revealed, coming November 3rd, Sledgehammer Games takes us back to War

by on April 26, 2017

As promised, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have delivered their worldwide reveal of the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: WWII. A new World War II game for next generation console, including 4K gaming. This is the first time we’ll get to see the battle of Normandy in stunning 4K visuals from the Call of Duty franchise.

On top of the well-received return to “boots on the ground” combat, we’re also getting a return to a real, CO-OP campaign, something J and I have been asking for, before the release of last year’s game. A feature that both Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 left out. So that alone is making me anticipate this game’s release. Finally rushing the beach of Normandy, France, with bombs and mortars hitting the ground bullets whizzing by my head, all with a friend. That’s the way it should be.

Here’s the trailer for the new game:

Some details are clearly being left out, but as the game approaches and the private beta kicks off later this year, we’re sure to get more information. Like Infinity Ward’s reveal last year, Sledgehammer is keeping some stuff close to their chest for a later reveal. We’ll probably get more come E3 in June, so be on the look out for that.

In the meantime, who else is excited for a return to WWII?
